Crispy Fried Chicken Sliders with Brie, Arugula & Truffle Honey

So I don't know about you but I LOVE fried chicken... now, I know, I know, it's not the greatest thing in the world for you, but when it comes to making simple and tasty appetizers for a party - you really can't go wrong with these.

Around the corner from my office is City Tap House, and on their lunch menu they have this amazing fried chicken sandwich that I just can't not get every time I'm there. Luckily for my waist-line, I only eat lunch there when people are visiting so I'm not being too unhealthy on the reg.

But I'm telling you this is no ordinary fried chicken sandwich.

First of all, it has this truffle honey drizzle (which I mean, you had me at truffle), and the crispy chicken is topped with brie and arugula. The combo is so delicious, and the brie and truffle honey make this sandwich seem so much fancier than your typical fried chicken sammy.

Turning it into sliders

So when I was getting ready to host a party I was trying to think of the main meal/appetizer for the crowd of 15 and I thought - why not try to recreate my favorite crispy chicken sandwich into sliders for some easy party food.

The great news is that this only contains 5 main ingredients, making it both affordable and easy to make! The kind of app that is right up my ally.

Let's make it!

So first you want to preheat the oven to 350°F and cook your chicken tenders for 15 mins or as directed on package. When complete take out and set aside.

While the chicken tenders are cooking, make herbed butter for buns. Melt the butter in the microwave. Once the butter has been melted, add garlic powder and Italian seasoning to it. Then brush the herbed butter on tops of the slider buns (do not separate the buns yet) and broil for 5 minutes, or until golden and set aside.

Cut slider buns down the middle without separating into individual rolls so they can be easily placed on a cookie sheet. Lightly grease the cookie sheet (or place foil like I did) and place golden slider bottoms on it. Then drizzle as much truffle honey on bottom buns as you'd like.

Layer on cooked chicken tenders and place sliced brie cheese on top, placing one slice over each individual bun.

Drizzle the truffle honey again over top of layered chicken and cheese. Then place slider bun tops back on top and cover the dish with foil, baking for 10 minutes, then remove the foil and continue baking for another 10 minutes.

Once complete remove tops of slider buns and add arugula. Place slider bun tops back on and serve hot. Enjoy!
